The Art of Dining Alone

There’s an art to eating out alone. I do it a lot and I have a few tricks to make it easy and fun. For example, you have to sit at the bar, not at a table by yourself. Then you have to be open to talking to other people at the bar, which usually isn’t too hard if you are a woman, unless it is a sports bar and the TV is on. And you must have your exit strategy developed in case you end up talking at the bar with somebody who thinks you are only there to be picked up instead of to get a meal or a drink. (more…)
